Taking on 2 engagements, Q3 2026

SEO and AEO, the highest-return work, first.

Hi, I am Vasso. Independent technical SEO consultant, and increasingly an AEO one, based in Cape Town. I diagnose what is actually wrong with organic and AI search, ship the fixes that move the needle, and leave behind a playbook your team can keep running. When the work spills into the systems around it (analytics, CRM, internal tooling, AI automation), I do that too. Same model, same discipline.

01 / What I do

Search is the spine. Systems are what keeps it working.

Most of the work is upstream of the words on a page, the architecture, the schema, the measurement, the briefs your in-house team executes against. Tap any card to expand the detail. Full breakdown lives on the Services page.

02 / Method

The work compounds. Most of it after I am gone.

A 30-day engagement is not where the results live. It is where the right diagnosis, the right fixes, and the playbook get shipped. The signal lands later, in three predictable phases. Below: what to expect, when.

Compounding curve Timeline of expected signal phases across 18 months. The engagement window spans day 0 to 30. CTR delta lands at 4 to 8 weeks. Cluster signal lands at 8 to 12 weeks. Heavier compounding past day 90. DAY 0 DAY 30 MONTH 3 MONTH 6 MONTH 12 MONTH 18 ORGANIC + AEO SIGNAL ENGAGEMENT CTR delta, weeks 4 to 8 Cluster signals, weeks 8 to 12 Heavier compounding, day 90+

04 / How I work

Six things I keep saying up front.

I am a one-person practice. That shapes everything: how the work gets scoped, priced, and delivered. The model is built around your team executing. I sit upstream doing diagnosis, strategy, brief writing, and the first-pass technical work that accelerates them.

P/01 Diagnosis before delivery.

I figure out what is actually wrong on your real data before writing a single brief. The plan comes from that, not from a generic checklist.

P/02 Fixed price, never hourly.

Every engagement has a written scope and a flat price. Retainers welcome, one-shots welcome, hourly is the only model that is not on the table. New work gets scoped as its own thing.

P/03 Strategist and brief-writer model.

I almost never write every word of every blog. I write briefs, technical specs, structured-data docs. Your team executes. The budget buys 3 to 5x more execution this way.

P/04 Honest about what I can and cannot promise.

Nobody can guarantee a ranking or a traffic number. Anyone telling you they can is selling snake oil. What I can promise: the right diagnosis, the right fixes in the right order, and a playbook that survives day 31.

P/05 Leave you with the system.

Every engagement ends with templates, dashboards, and a roadmap your team owns. The point is that you do not need me past day 30. Most clients do not.

P/06 Adjacent work, on request.

If an engagement surfaces a measurement gap, a CRM mess, or a workflow begging to be automated, I will usually do that too. Quoted separately, same model.

05 / Selected work

Case studies are in preparation.

Most engagements involve data and conversations clients prefer kept off the public web. Understandable, given what we are usually fixing. A small set of detailed, permission-cleared case studies is in build. In the meantime, happy to walk through specific past work on a call.

06 / Let's talk

If something on your site has been quietly going wrong, start here.

A 30-minute call. No deck, no sales pitch. I will ask what you are seeing, look at the obvious data with you, and tell you honestly whether this engagement is the right shape for the problem.
