VASEO / Taking on 2 engagements, Q3 2026

Your search presence, as a living graph.

Hi, I am Vasso. Independent technical SEO and AEO consultant in Cape Town. I diagnose what holds organic and AI search back, ship the highest-return fixes first, and leave behind a playbook your team can run.

Drag to explore. Every node a page, every filament a link, every a citation.

01 Proof, not slides

See the work. Drag the line.

A title tag is the cheapest win in search, and most sites get it wrong. Here is one page before and after an hour of my time. Drag the divider to compare, then rewrite the title yourself and watch the snippet and the length meter respond.

41 / 60

Keep it under 60 characters so Google does not truncate it in the result.

02 What I do

Search is the spine. Systems keep it working.

Most of the work is upstream of the words on a page: the architecture, the schema, the measurement, the briefs your in-house team executes against. Two primary practices lead, five systems sit around them.

Primary practice

Technical, value-added SEO

Diagnosis-first organic search. The cheapest wins rarely need new content: template-level fixes, schema reconciliation, redirect audits, the title that is bleeding click-through. Then strategy, briefs, and a playbook your team runs without me.

Primary practice

AEO, Answer Engine Optimization

The same diagnostic instinct, pointed at AI search. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews all decide what to cite from signals you can shape: schema, author identity, content structure, source trust. I make your pages the ones that get pulled in.

Plus five systems on the Services page: topic clusters, schema, analytics, CRM, AI automation, systems engineering, and website builds.

03 Method

The work compounds. Most of it after I am gone.

A 30-day engagement is where the diagnosis, the fixes, and the playbook get shipped. The signal lands later, in predictable phases. No guarantees, just patterns.

04 Flagship engagement

A focused 30 days to start regaining ground on organic and AI search.

Three concurrent workstreams: priority-page tweaks, one topic-cluster pilot tuned for Google and answer engines, plus the foundation and handover layer. Measurement template, brief template, schema instruction doc, and the six to eighteen month playbook the team runs from day 31.

Scope
30 days, one-shot diagnostic
Best for
A quietly declining organic channel and a small in-house team
You provide
CMS access, ~2hrs of dev capacity, one content collaborator
What lands
Findings report, live fixes, cluster pilot, templates, playbook

The 30-day diagnostic is the productised one-shot. Most clients roll on as a monthly retainer once the playbook is running. Both are fixed-price; hourly is the only model I do not work in.

05 How I work

Six things I keep saying up front.

I am a one-person practice. That shapes how the work gets scoped, priced, and delivered. The model is built around your team executing while I sit upstream on diagnosis, strategy, and briefs.

P/01

Diagnosis before delivery.

I figure out what is actually wrong on your real data before writing a single brief. The plan comes from that, not from a generic checklist.

P/02

Fixed price, never hourly.

Every engagement has a written scope and a flat price. Retainers welcome, one-shots welcome, hourly is the only model not on the table.

P/03

Strategist and brief-writer model.

I almost never write every word of every blog. I write briefs, technical specs, structured-data docs. Your team executes, and the budget buys 3 to 5x more.

P/04

Honest about what I cannot promise.

Nobody can guarantee a ranking or a traffic number. What I can promise: the right diagnosis, the right fixes in the right order, and a playbook that survives day 31.

P/05

Leave you with the system.

Every engagement ends with templates, dashboards, and a roadmap your team owns. The point is that you do not need me past day 30. Most clients do not.

P/06

Adjacent work, on request.

If an engagement surfaces a measurement gap, a CRM mess, or a workflow begging to be automated, I will usually do that too. Quoted separately, same model.

06 Selected work

Case studies are in preparation.

Most engagements involve data clients prefer kept off the public web, understandable given what we are usually fixing. A small set of permission-cleared case studies is in build. Happy to walk through specific past work on a call.

08 Let us talk

If something on your site has been quietly going wrong, start here.

A 30-minute call. No deck, no sales pitch. I will ask what you are seeing, look at the obvious data with you, and tell you honestly whether this engagement is the right shape for the problem.
